Auditions

"Round and Round the Garden

by Alan Aykbourn

Directed by Brian Finch

Performance Dates: Muse Theatre 2-5th October 2013 (tbc) and Friday 11th October 2013 at The Pavilions for the Rotarians of Plymouth.

“Round and Round the Garden” is the third play in the Norman Conquest trilogy. It features the same six characters we met in “Table Manners”. Norman arrives to whisk Annie away for a weekend of illicit fun and to give her a break from both “Mother” and Tom, the almost boyfriend vet who lives next door. Reg and Sarah (Annie’s brother and wife) arrive to look after “Mother” in order that Annie can have a “holiday”. Ruth, Norman’s wife, appears after being summoned by Sarah. Norman woos all three women in turn during the course of this hilarious comedy.

The auditions for this play will be held on Friday 31st May at 7.30pm at Manor Gardens. Copies of the script are available from Catherine Teague (789383). If you are interested in auditioning for this play but are unable to make this date please let Catherine know.

The rehearsals for this play will commence in the later part of August.

If anyone would like to borrow a script prior to the auditions or if you are interested in being considered for this play but are unable to make the auditions please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

pair readingPlay readings are held regularly at Manor Gardens and are great opportunities for members and non-members alike to relax in friendly company and read through a play that we are thinking of producing in the future or simply want to read! There is no compulsion to read any of the parts, if you just want to listen, but it is a fun chance to read and enjoy parts that you wouldn't be able to audition for, because of age, gender or other reasons!

The next play reading at The Tamaritans Theatre Company in Plymouth, Devon is:
