THE PLAY
This summer a super-achieving girl of modest background will win the first scholarship to the prestigious Grangewood School for Young Ladies. She means to make a success of it, but she will meet prejudice, bullying, and challenges……will she fit in? Will she uncover the secrets that lurk at Grangewood school? What else will she discover?
Daisy Pulls It Off is a spiffing yarn that is both funny and charming, and it is, at times, where Mallory Towers meets Scooby Doo! Set in the 1920s it is a parody of life at a girls’ boarding school with a clear message to us all to be more accepting of others, to judge less, and know that we have much to learn from each other no matter what our background.
Written by Denise Deegan and directed by Niall Clinton, the Tamaritans Theatre Company are performing this play at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth (Drum Theatre) from 18-22 July. Get your tickets from the Theatre Royal box office before they are sold out!
